The gammons soon forget how Thatcher supported Pinochet, who used dogs to rape political prisoners.Originally posted by NickFitz View Post“The gesture was actually widely known as a symbol of solitary for the victims of the 2013 Rabba massacre, when security forces killed hundreds of protesters demonstrating against the overthrow of President Mohamed Morsi in a military coup.” - Corbyn was 'backing democracy campaigners' with salute (I assume they mean “solidarity", not “solitary”).
“We accept that neither Interpal, nor its Trustees, have ever been involved with or provided support for terrorist activity of any kind… Mr Hewitt has asked us to make clear that he does not condone discrimination in any form, including against gay people or adulterers, and we are happy to do so.” - https://www.thejc.com/news/uk-news/t...ology-1.487792
“Aide” - even the story itself doesn’t try to say that Corbyn said it. And the term “aide” seems to be extremely broadly defined, as they don’t even claim that she works for him
Take your pick, Metro, the Mail, and the Express are all terrible and if you believe what they say (or what they don’t say in the third case) then you’re an idiot

Pinochet helped Maggie get re-elected by taking the Falklands. Maggie knows how to return a favour. Politics and Mafia are little different.Comment

They didn't forget. They never knew about it because they avoid reading serious news stories, or dismiss it as irrelevant.Originally posted by Old Greg View PostThe gammons soon forget how Thatcher supported Pinochet, who used dogs to rape political prisoners.
to them.
Pinochet did, allegedly, provide intelligence and support which aided the re-taking of the Falklands. Of course, it was in his interests as Argentina might well have attacked Chile if they'd managed to hold on to the Falklands.Originally posted by Mordac View PostPinochet 'took the Falklands'? Whilst it will be unlikely that Corbyn would actively support terrorism he will share the aims of the world's most nutjob terrorists. The fact that they are willing to take up arms and die for something is proof enough for him that they are oppressed. That they have decided to do this comes from their own circumstances that outsiders cannot understand and therefore they should not be criticised.
That's why he always gets pictured hanging out with terrorists justifying terrible terrorists things, cannot bring himself to criticise other people ( in his own party ) saying they hate jews and gets crabbit when called out on it.
Most people rightly see him as a shifty crank and the above excuses as a pile of tulipe.Comment

He's opposed Western wars in the Middle East.
