I'm afraid you are wrong. Enough billions of humans have died over the centuries that, if there was a afterlife and it was a paradise, at least one would have come back to tell us so that we all behave ourselves on this side of the gate. hell and heaven are made up to control the masses. By all means believe it if this is what makes you behave with morals, but you don't need these beliefs to act decently to your fellow humans.

Actually I'm not a church goer but I do send my kids to a Catholic school so I could be bringing up the next generation of strict traditional doctrine followers. It's ultimately their choice, they're both girls and if they refuse to have sex before marriage then that'll give me one less thing to worry about in 10 years time.

In regards to the "I'll be dead so who cares?" type comments. One thing for sure is that the people who love you will miss you and they might care about what happens at your funeral.
