US preacher asks followers to help buy fourth private jet

A US televangelist has asked his followers to help fund his fourth private jet - because Jesus "wouldn't be riding a donkey".

Jesse Duplantis said God had told him to buy a Falcoln 7X for $54m (£41m).
Twitter replies are quite good for this one

Remember Jimmy Swaggart? He's the TV evangelist who wrote a cheque to a prostitute for services rendered, and it bounced.
In a moment of not-quite-100% contrition, he told his stunned congregation: "The Lord told me it's flat none of your business."

I find myself almost admiring his front. TBH, if it'll get me a few jet's I'd more than gladly pretend to give a **** about religion as well.

I thought Jesus _did_ ride a donkey, into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.
