These "alternative news" sources are designed to provoke anger and consternation, by writing "articles" with crude fiery allegories to capture the attention of the reader. This furthers their readership, garners regular viewers, which has the bonus of bringing in advertising revenue and populist recognition. This is what they want. Tommy Robinson is the epitome of this characterization.

Rather than dive head first into the abyss by assuming these words are further proof that alternative news sources are deserving of recognition, for showing the flame of truth in a swamp of filth, instead consider recognizing that there are similarly crude forms of (so called) MSM, such as Fox News, that aim to capture a certain aspect of the readership and viewership who already hold certain viewpoints on the world (or, realistically, Texas) and are, in their own way, caricatures of the multiplicity of the news environment.

Russia is among the best examples of a large country that tells every possible narrative story line during and after an event. This works for the homeland as they can ensure each news reader/viewer at some point hears what they expect to hear from their own chosen official tv/radio/newspaper news source, as they are owned by the state of controlled via Putin's oligarch friends.
