Boris Johnson said he had spoken to the Ukraine FM who assured that the Russians had murdered the journalist. Bojo assured him that the UK will apply sanctions on Russia.

I don't know at what time they announced him at the press conference but BoJo was tweeting bad things about this at 11:30 today. Be funny if the press conference was a couple of hours before that...

Turns out his wife and kids did know, he was just apologising for the general hassle they'd had to endure surrounding the whole affair. Seems the "wife didn't know" thing was a reporter misinterpreting what was said.
