Regardless, the clown made a statement and that statement has had implications reverberate throughout our ties with allies on the continent and abroad. His position in office is no longer tenable, who knows the full extent of the damage. May needs to sack him and herself for that matter.

Mogg step up and do the necessary, we need a good laugh.

Who would they be? Nigel Farage, the guy living under the stairs, the scary looking women that shouts at buses, a dog's arse, inquiring minds want to know...

Government is showing itself up on the world stage as a complete circus with the clowns in charge.

You'd think after Blair's outright lies on WMD we'd have learned our lessons before finger pointing.

May needs to standing outside number 10. in the morning with a televised apology to Russia, as demanded by EU counterparts if we're to be allowed favourable trading agreements. What a @£$ up. Just when you think the Tories cannot make a cluster $£@ of a situation worse, they somehow dig a little deeper.

Well if it all comes out as a bit of a bollocks up, it might not yet, then presumably May will go on one of her little walking holidays in the wilderness and come back with the brilliant idea of an election...oh dear!

Quite surprised they haven't slapped a D-Notice on it yet regarding National Security

              How embarrassing...

Meanwhile - Trump says only 'stupid people don't want to get on better with Russia' and Germany grants permit for Nord Stream 2 Russian gas pipeline. Solidarity!

And we're left with Boris Johnson...

                And the BBC.

R4 Interview with Russian official this morning...

BBC: "Our correspondents find that the majority of the Russian people are scared of the west because of Kremlin Russian propaganda."
What utter carp. I presume they are talking about BBC correspondent Joshua Rozenberg who I find to be the most bias and anti-Russian reporter. He goes out of his way to find people who are pro-West and anti-Russian

Moscow has said that relations with the West are now worse than during the Cold War in the aftermath of the Skripal poisoning.

Sergei Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, claimed that unwritten codes of conduct between the Soviet Union and the western powers during an era of mutually assured nuclear destruction no longer applied, suggesting that the modern relationship was more volatile and unpredictable.

Speaking in Moscow, he said that there was “a lot of talk about a ‘cold war’, about the situation being worse than it was during the classic Cold War, because then there were some rules, and some decency was observed”.

I'd like some of the anti-Russian posters on this thread to explain to me why this is a good thing.

My position is the same as Donald's - why can't we all just get along? Having grown up in the 80s with all the cold war fear - then watching the Berlin wall come down and the tensions go away I can't help but feel very dismayed at this step backwards.

Normally in situations like this, the obvious underlying motivation is the UK frantically trying to ingratiate ourselves with the Septics.

But the puzzling thing is President Trump seems eager to mend fences with Putin and be his best mate.
