we are advised to never work below 25%. i have people in the same team as me with over 20+ contractors working at 30% +
the guys that are in the southern offices london etc will usually have a 30-35% mark up
Indeed, we recently had a guy here that was pleased to be getting EUR 50 ph via a XX outlet. What he didn't know was that XX were charging EUR 87 for him.XX thought it was 'good business'. Or at least they did until he found out their margin and quit...
The annual results for XX show an average contractor gross margin of 21%, so the Informer is probably about right.

Or, what happened to a friend of mine the other day.
'Great' contract offer, leaves current contract early (because she hates it), signs new contract, never hear from agency again, won't return calls, won't reply to email.
well if that was the case you would be screwwed anyway, im sure any it department would be able to see who had accessed these pages in history if they wanted??
There are 10 kinds of people, those who understand binary, and those who don’t

On the other hand XX agencies can charge the client more and the client knows, so if the client wants to go for Small Recruitment Company Ltd then they can save money but the contractor will get less too (although perhaps with a lower margin).

I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.
