    Natwest Based Rant!!!!

Never ever ever think that there is a "better way". I have honestly never ever worked with such a bunch of jokers in my life.

    1. Account set up delayed becuase they couldnt find my company at Coy House ... er wtf?

    2. Cashcard I asked for for expenses / small items etc wasnt "authorised" by someone so it was dealyed for 2 weeks.

    3. Still trying to chase the chargecard (basically for online ordering for consumables etc that dont take solo) and its been 4 weeks and still waiting.

    4. My business manager never ever phones me back. I've asked her 3 times in the last 2 weeks to call me and she hasnt. I'm also mates with her son ffs! Its easier for me to phone him and get him to pass the message on than go through Natwest call center.

    5. Dont even get me started on telephone banking / internet banking signup procedures.

    6. The business line dont know the smallest details of my account. They dont know thats I've asked for 2 cards etc, they only know what the balance on my account is. But they are more than happy to try and sell me stuff....

    Arghh.......

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

      You're scaring me SP.

I've had a Primeline account with them for over a year and thought they were good. (Gave me a really serious CC limit)

I'm about to go and set-up an account for my Ltd

Natwest are useless feckers. I don't know anybody in real life who has had an account with them and has not been screwed over by them at some point.

They tried to refuse to let one of my freinds take £1500 out of his account once saying he had a daily limit of £500. After arguing with them for 15 mins that the daily limit was on his debit card, not what he could take out of the bank he told them to shut the account and give him all his money (Approx £6000). They then wheeled out a manager who tried to tell him he couldn't shut his account and take his money out. It took him an hour of arguing with the feckers to get the account shut and get his money, he then got harrassing phone calls for the next month asking why he had shut his account and if he would like to reopen it.

All in all a bunch of cntus!!!

My Ltd's account is through Natwest. Now that it's all up and running things are relatively smooth, however trying to get it set up in the first place was incredibly tedious even by British standards.

I applied online, and was asked to bring in the various company documents to my nearest branch, which I did the next day. These were copied and sent somewhere in their internal mail. After two weeks I'd heard nothing and chased them up, they told me it can take up to 28 days (!) to set up an account.

28 days later I chased them up again and was told that the documents were probably lost and could I go into a branch again, which I did. Two weeks after that I got a call from their call centre asking me if I wanted to continue with the application as I'd applied online but hadn't supplied the requested documents. They also said it should only take a day or two to receive the documents so they were most likely lost again, and that this has happened a number of times before.

I asked to be put through to the department where these documents were being sent to chase up myself if they were being received. I was told that that department had been outsourced and they could only communicate by fax with them (!). I of course asked for the fax number and was told it was an internal only number (!!!).

It ended up taking nearly three months to get a bank account sorted out, during which time i was accumulating a nice pile of cheques I couldn't cash from a very small agency whose credit rating I was somewhat concerned about. The only reason I've kept it is that my personal account is with them and hence transfers between the two happen within a day. The moment their free introductory offer ends I'll be off to Carter Allen.

Well guess what they didnt phone me again. Its 16:20 ... are they going to phone in the next 40 mins...I doubt it.

Might just phone up tommorrow and tell them If I dont get a phone call in the next 20 mins then dont bother phoneing again and can they close the account.

Got to agree Natwest Business Account setup is 100% cr*p, mine took 6 to 7 months, with constant chasing by me, then when they finally got it up and running they revoked my online banking due to an error.

Once its up and running its been no probs though.

Did you open it at a branch, I opened my at Natwest in Islington, would be interested to hear if there cr*p all round or if its the same branch.

I had the misfortune of moving my business account to Natwest.

I phoned the manager to transfer a few quid into my personal account. As I was out with the lads in Brum.

When I got to the cash point - No funds had been transferred.

Lucky enough I was with a couple of other contractors who sorted me out with the cash for the night.

When I rang the next morning - Her response while giggling was - Sorry I forgot.

                  Dumped them a week later.

2 months after had a nice call asking why the account had been closed. Great joy in telling the bloke why. Funny enough the conversation did not last very long.

DO NOT USE NATWEST FOR ANYTHING!

You ought to get one of those business accounts managed by a team in India. They are far more efficient than those managed by UK based jobsworths and students. Most of the admin staff have degrees you know.
