That's cos most of the dogs in the UK that are available are currently staffies. Some of whom haven't been socialised properly so can't live with children, can't live in a build up environment, can't live near other dogs etc.

That's not true but I guess you are just being a negative person. But for those not inflicted by your depressive nature, there are plenty of dogs, spaniels etc up for adoption.

To be fair it depends what rescue you contact. Where I am it is very easy to get a greyhound or mongrel if you can look after a dog.

Shelter and crisis had always been my go to charities for giving money to and raising money for. They just don’t have the appeal of others. Nowadays it’s st martins in the fields https://www.smitfc.org as both crisis and shelter seem to spend too much on chuggers and inserts in private eye.

As far as I know Shelter don't do anything to help the homeless. I think they are partly run by but-to-letters who campaign for government handouts to increase their profits. Of course this makes it harder for the poor to get housing because they have to compete with the scroungers.

Maybe Oxfam, I think they at least try to do some good.

Point I'm making instead of saying x charity doesn't do much because you don't know Google and you will find information whether the charity is international, national or local.
