The good doctor has obliviously never been there then. I suspect that he's trawled his database of malcontented ex-employees and come to this conclusion. Mars have been there for many years so quoting that their HQ is there and therefore makes it a good place to work is more than a tad selective.Dr Andrew Chamberlain, Glassdoor's chief economist, said Slough is in a part of the country which offers "pleasant environments" meaning "an increased quality of life for employees".Comment

Slough was an absolute doghole when I worked there in the mid 90's. The only way it could possibly have been improved since then is by following Betjemans advice. And then some.
