You are ignoring how the EUSSR really works. Turkey is definitely joining the EU, if it hasn't already secretly done so. Haven't you actually read the poster? -
because of the stupefying effect it will have on the government for the next 3-5 years when there are important things to deal with:
- Pension crisis (current and looming)
- Housing
- NHS
- deficit
- skills shortage
- fact that most menial jobs will be automated in the next 20 years
- railway investment
- a runway decision (how often can they kick that can down the street?)
- etc. etc.See You Next TuesdayComment

The NHS will be rescued by the £350 million the UK send each week to the EU.Originally posted by Lance View Postbecause of the stupefying effect it will have on the government for the next 3-5 years when there are important things to deal with:

trying not to stray too far into economics.... even if that total lie (the number and the suggestion of where to spend it) were true, it's just over half of what's needed just to fill the funding gap of the current service.Originally posted by northernladyuk View PostThe NHS will be rescued by the £350 million the UK send each week to the EU.
So not exactly 'rescued' just 'patched up to live another day'.See You Next TuesdayComment

The other half will be dealt with when the NHS doesn't have to pay the salaries of all those foreign doctors and nurses. You need to get with Brexonomics and start talk the country up!Originally posted by Lance View Posttrying not to stray too far into economics.... even if that total lie (the number and the suggestion of where to spend it) were true, it's just over half of what's needed just to fill the funding gap of the current service.

we could legalise all recreational drugs and use the tax generated to save the NHS.Originally posted by northernladyuk View PostThe NHS will be rescued by the £350 million the UK send each week to the EU.
It's international treaties (apparently) that stop us from legalising it. So while we're trashing treaties let's do it.See You Next TuesdayComment

And when we leave we only need airports to send our drunks to Benidorm so we don't need any new runways.See You Next TuesdayComment

Even better. When the UK is free from the tyranny of the EUSSR open skies agreement, the drunks will have to go to Blackpool, keeping the tourist pound in the UK economy!Originally posted by Lance View Poststupid me. Of course.

There are some positives to Brexit and becoming the poor man of Europe - travel to Europe will become a perk of the rich since the average person won't be able to afford it.Originally posted by northernladyuk View PostEven better. There's a good British investment for your portfolio: Butlins.
I suspect for the wealthy, Brexit won't be too bad.
Hard Brexit now!

And I suspect you should check your facts. Independently wealthy, his family wealth came from mining (owning mines, not working in them). The guy is a ******* fop who's never done a days work in his life. North East Somerset was created in 2010, when he won it. Apart from that he had been beaten twice - both times by Labour.Originally posted by malvolio View PostReed Mogg doesn't draw expenses being independently wealthy on the back of his own achievements. He was also elected twice (in a predominantly Labour constituency) unlike the people over the channel who are trying to rule us and who have just asked for a multi-million Euro increase in their own expenses.
If that's your best argument, then I suspect you should probably give up now.
"At the 1997 general election, Rees-Mogg was the Conservative candidate for the traditional Labour seat of Central Fife and attracted ridicule, after canvassing a largely working-class neighbourhood with his former nanny;[9] on election night he came third, gaining 9% of the votes cast,[15] slightly fewer than half of the votes won by the previous Conservative candidate in 1992. However, rumours that he had toured the constituency in a Bentley were described as "scurrilous" − he insisted it had been a Mercedes.[16]"Comment
