How big is your TV ?

Ours is 42", Panasonic plasma, bought it 8 years ago just before the Olympics in China.

It's a classic TV and the damn thing won't die and I refuse to replace it while it still works

German TV is garbage mostly! Variety shows with sweeping staircases, live EPL flicking between all the games every five minutes in two minute segments, and soft porn all the time when al you want is a bit of Corrie (there is a German version, Lindenstrasse or something).

My mrs says I look like Gregor from 'Sturm der Liebe', but she's also said my last but one work access badge pic made me look like Josef Fritzl so I'll settle for Gregor.

Maybe Admin can organise a badge-pic quiz, we send our badge pics in, admin sticks 'em on a page (making an extra-widescreen option for MF's pic) and we have to match posters to them.

I tried a 48" but sent it back as I couldn't sit far enough away and everything looked pixellated and it made my eyes hurt

I've heard since that the answer would have been to get a 4K telly.

Nothing like the inverted snobbery of a normal sized television. Mines a 42" too.

yes, german TV (and northern swiss) is crap. they even dub over english and us movies, unlike the dutch, who put dutch subtitles on, helping people learn dutch/english while they watch.

I was advised by a male relation on the perfect size due to them suffering a 52" one.
