Interesting also to note there is suddenly coming to light an issue with slave labour.

Let's see how this pans out.
Some of the slave labour is non-EU e.g. Chinese cockle pickers, Arabs and their servants, Indians/Nigerians and their maids, Chinese nail bars, Vietnamese weed farms....

Killing your slave owner should be an absolute defence to murder.

The 2015 Economic Benefit to the UK from the British Monarchy was £1.155 Billion.

Don't hear you complaining about that.

Then put the monarchy out to competitive tender - maybe a 20 year contract. The incumbent family can bid, but maybe there will be a more economically advantageous bid.

No one ever mentioned inside or outside of the EU.

Just in general - and here's one to get people throwing stones - the slave trade has been rife and still is in Africa and Asia - right from literally when they built the pyramids.

The 'American' slave trade was really just white people buying black people from other black people on the then legal slave markets.

Thank you for your well reasoned and argued response. Do you not agree with market forces? If the monarchy is an asset, we should sweat it, and see if there are innovative solutions to maximise ROI. Maybe the Dutch or Swedish royals would do better. Or perhaps Bhutan?
