On it's own it is but with pr0n it isn't. Your brain on porn is an interesting watch. The whole objectifying thing and unrealistic expectations can play havoc with one's relationship and perception of the other sex.."Is someone you don't like allowed to say something you don't like? If that is the case then we have free speech."- Elon Musk -

Pron in the form we grew up with (scarce magazines) is not really bad for the mental health in moderation. It's Internet pron that is bad for you because the click click click causes a dopamine rush that lasts as long as you keep clicking. That high cannot be matched by normal sex with an average person. That's where the problems start for some people.Originally posted by Jog On View PostOn it's own it is but with pr0n it isn't. Your brain on porn is an interesting watch. Some people get addicted to Internet pron and keep clicking from page to page, it's not the images that they are chasing - it's the dopamine (dopamine gives you the exciting feeling that something very enjoyable is just around the corner).
Probably if you are an addict then cold turkey is best. But in principal I think the problems are caused by Internet pron, not pron per se.
Saying that, I think it's all bad for your spirit.
And as others said, masturbation in moderation is healthy.Last edited by Fronttoback; 6 August 2017, 20:52.Comment
