The UK government can put that in their Brexit pipe and smoke it.

Do you honestly think, even in your tiny little Remoaner brain for a duration of up to 600ms, that the EU would be so stupid as to prevent UK (you know, that country with the third largest equity market on the planet, as big as France and Germany put together*) aircraft entering EU airspace? The political equivalent of a pre-school argument where the group of bullies say to the smart kid "You're not in our gang now, we're not letting you near our swings.."

A day in the life of a typical Remoaner:

1) Travel to work
2) Take a tulip (optional)
3) Get the first coffee of the day
4) Check a bunch of news sites looking for stories with a "doom and gloom" / Anti-brexit flavour
5) Quickly post a link on <some forum>, to provoke reaction and give some meaning to your existance
6) Do some work (optional)
7) While !CoP Repeat from step 4
8) Travel home, promising to yourself to definitely, definitely start researching leaving this terrible country for ever, once you've saved up enough money.

I'd say it was getting tedious, but it has been since 2016-06-24.

The paranoia is interesting. If you look at the Brexiteer 'EU are trying to destroy the UK' and 'Remoaners want the UK to fail' narratives, there's a definite shift away from believing that Brexit is going to be a success, towards an attempt to blame other people for the failure. Fascinating in a car crash kind of way.

So the two papers that most consistently complain that EU border controls are too weak are now moaning that EU border controls are too strict. ******* snowflakes...

Too weak against migrants. Too strong against the UK.

There was a time when Greece imprisoned someone with in UK passport so the UK sent 6 warships to the Greek coast to let them know how the treat UK citizens.

Sadly the UK does not have 6 warships anymore. Just Admiral Bob, his rubber dingy and a rusty knife.

The sad fact is that the UK has failed to control terrorism and failed to control non-EU illegal immigration. There has not been any exit controls in the UK for 20 or more years.

Actually this isn't because of Brexit, the UK is still in the EU, there are simply not enough security staff, but it is a taste of things to come.

It will be worse regarding freight. Dover and Folkestone has sold off port facilities and flats have been build on the old lorry parks. Come Brexit the lorries will have to queue on the M20. Even in the old days it took 12 to 24 hrs to clear customs on a good day. Be ready for three day queues to get in through customs just like at the Turkey - EU Bulgaria Border.
