Firstly, Brexit will be a disaster. When it all goes wrong the Tories will feel the wrath of the electorate.Originally posted by original PM View PostNah - so in 5 years time when next GE comes around what will have happened
1) Brexit will be 3 years in the past (at least)
2) The UK economy will not have tanked.
3) Orwell's Animal Farm will have got back on the GCSE curriculum and people will understand that 'For the many, not the few' can also be written as 'All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others'
4) The students who voted labour will now have jobs and be voting tory.
5) The reduction in immigration will lead to a reduction in labour voters
Anything I have missed?

Secondly, only old people vote Tory. Every year as their voting base die off the pendulum moves towards Labour at a rate of roughly 2% per year. The harking back to Victorian Britain has very little appeal to the young.
Labour is already 5 points ahead of the Tories and it's only going to get worse as they hobble off into the Brexit sunset with the DUP.

Ok maybe a large enough percentage to offset the few still waiting for Corbyn's socialist wet dream where the poor do nothing and the rich pay for everything.Originally posted by AtW View Post
