    darn sarf

    Took the family to the Harry Potter studio tour last weekend. We stayed overnight in Hemel Hempstead in quite a nice private hotel on a T junction just outside the centre and settled for a couple of drinks on the patio. While there for 1 hour there were several incidents of frantic car horn tooting when someone missed the flying start from the lights by a millisecond and one bit of jolly banter along the lines of " your dead you you faking cant, I'll get you"

    It's reminded why the rates in London are so high.

    Indeed. The work in London is easier than rest of the country. Its commuting that makes the rates higher.

      And people conversely complain we don't ever communicate down here.

        I think you'll find that's typical of Hemel. And plenty of other places around London. St Albans would have been a slightly better choice.
        His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...
