-citation needed. JC enjoyed incredible support from traditional working class Labour heartlands. Living in the ex-coal-mining north-east for example, his support here is very high. This is proper union country, working-class folk not well-educated champagne socialists who are rather less keen.

At the last Big Meeting (Durham Miners' Gala) which is a hard-core union/Labour event, they retracted their invitations to all Labour MPs who had voted against JC or spoken out against him. Around here he's incredibly popular.

Of course, the alternative with the tories is that you won't have to worry at all about the corporation tax rate as you won't be paying any. The PS IR35 changes will be pushed to the private sector and you'll have all your income taxed as PAYE (and will still pay that low, low corporation tax as well if you continue to operate through your Ltd.). Hmmmmm, well the jury is out on that one currently, especially as it doesn't look to be going well in the public sector.

A lot have had their rates raised in the public sector to cover it (extra tax), do you think that will wear in the public sector?

After Blair and Milliband, Corbyn is in many ways a refreshing change. I suppose to an extent Brown was too, someone who doesn't look like they go to the gym and have a PR trainer.

Anyone in particular you're thinking of, I lose track of who's left in Labour these days and have heard of few of them.

But we can see with Boris the problems of a former Mayor trying to become party leader.

Also Sadiq has the problem that his former once safe seat isn't safe anymore so he will have to find a Labour seat in the surrounding area of SW London that is a safe one where the sitting MP wants to step down.
