Well we won't know until the negotiations begin in earnest. Once his people start talking to her people things will become clearer.

That's the thing with negotiations ... you don't know what the deal is until the end of the negotiation.

If you knew what the outcome was of negotiation was before it began it wouldn't be negotiation would it? It would be a "done deal".

Anyone got a prediction on the effect of the election on UKIP? They are in even more turmoil than Labour.

I wouldn't be surprised if their vote completely collapsed.

UKIP proved they have no policy other than seeking a referendum on leaving the EU.

So if a Voter would like a government who's only policy is to seek a referendum on leaving the EU then vote UKIP else vote for one of the other parties which does actually have at least >1 policy

The Lisbon Treaty was debated at length by Parliament.

My point isn't that Brexit itself needs to be debated, it's that any terms to be agreed upon should be debated by our Parliamentary representatives. May seems hellbent on claiming any election victory as a "mandate from the people", when it is no such thing.

A real case of turkey voting for Xmas, she wants to be free of manifesto promises of no invome tax/NIC tax increases, have high majority to rule without checks from MPs - she is doing it for herself, not country.

I have never understood the reason for not putting out your stall with these negotiations, what is she going to do when negotiations start suddenly surprise the EU with requests they hadn't thought of? All this strategy will do is delay everything.
Brexit is not a major concern in the EU reading through many of the headlines here you would think it's a non event. Freach and German elections dominate the press and next in line is the Greek repayment deadline.
