Its not interesting - just problems with her son. He's 12, always been a gorgeous little lad, very gentle, very quiet, very sweet - I've known him since he was a baby. A couple of months ago he just changed - threatened to kill himself, attacked her, refused to go to school (hasn't been for about 2 months)...just problem after problem. And its finally drove her round the bend - she had to go to the docs yesterday for anti depressants and a sick noe for a month.

And she's just cancelled - I knew she would. Damn it

That'll be the hormones kicking in. He needs to knock up some 13yr old like all kids these days.

In my day, playing Nervous was the furthest we got to a fanny!

We've been through all of the possibilities (even the horrific) - its none of them.

She's got him booked in to see the mental health people - I think thats what pushed her over the edge.

Mental health people often do that.

Best be proactive (sos for mngt BS) and go round to see her every now and then. I had a mate with depression who used to cancel social engagements etc., he disengaged himself from any outside life and the isolation made matters worse. we ended up turning up on his doorstep with a few beers/pizza and just hanging out. Later he said that was appreciated. Sometimes you have to actively support depressed ppl even when they're receding away.

Definately the way to go. They need to be shown they matter, and they need to beieve it's true.
To be or not to be... or get someone else to be, and take the slack for it.
