Doesn't have the same ring as:
If you really believe the vote in the referendum was an informed decision, you are clearly deluded. It played on the people's emotions, which the brexit campaign managed to manipulate better.
Many many factors thrown into the mix. But a common them is clear a vote against the status quo.
Personally the battle bus, and £350m had ZERO impact on my decision.
For me it was:
a) lack of democracy in EU (Tony Benn)
b) a strong belief that the EU is weak and incapable of effective self governing
c) dislike of rich western states funding poorer eastern states
d) that a debt bubble needs to pop and brexit might as well do it before it gets any biggerComment

a) In some regards there is more democracy in EU than in UK - all major decisions need to be unanimous, not just 50%+ majority
b) I agree that it's has grown way too bureaucratic. And it is as week as it's weakest member, hence the drive to uplift the eastern europe nations.
c) What your narrow mind don't realize is that said funding is a net gain for the western states. Large portion of the funding ends up buying goods and services from western companies. Increased standard of living is the best immigration control. And as I have previously stated, IMHO there is some form of debt (moral at the very least) to be paid for throwing them to the wolves at the end of WWII and using them as buffer for decades. They didn't grow to be weak because the people living there were weak, they did because they were left under Soviet control. If you have any doubts about this, take a look at the disparity between West and East Germany.
d) Gov and BoE can pop the debt bubble anytime they want, no need to compound it with the other potential (and likely) negative economic impact of Brexit.Comment

For most Brexiters the "battlebus" was of very minor import, and merely signified the very real claim that a Brexit vote would widen our own choices as to how to allocate funding.
