Oh Dear: This is going to be interesting vat on private school fees

Morning All,

so, here we have it, we're not going to have Grammar Schools...

and to make it even harder for those who would like to find any hope of giving their children a
more fulfilling education than that offered in the comprehensive system,

we're now going to add vat to school fees

that's going to be painful

thank you European Union that I live in a country which has the grammar school system and
my children are at a state grammar school

yes, and if you really want to know,

we had difficulty and went through fertility treatment and thankfully successful ivf.

I am very sad for the ones who are not successful.

Free school meals for all doesn't sound like a terrible policy. In fact I'm sure the LibDems came out with that one a couple of years ago.

I googled and found a very confusing HMRC notice that sort of suggested that education is exempt, or maybe not. I don't seem to be paying VAT for German lessons, and the invoices have a VAT number.
