Indeed its time to look through these imposed contracts.
If they can ignore the legality of a situation to collect tax you must be able to do it to avoid abuse.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much. -
It was published in the Guardian and I posted it on the future of contracting thread.
If you want people to pay "the right amount of tax" you need to penalise the companies first.

The language in the document is formal, awkward and unfamiliar.
Media and HMRC have to understand that it's HMRC rules that we're all following, not something imposed by corps. TBH the laws used to be about fairness (it's madness to pay tax 3 or more times on the same sum, no one thinks that fair not even HMRC ) now it's about revenue generation. They've lost the battle with the big players so now are chasing softer targets.Comment
