I thought it had been proven that 'we' had managed to be responsible for killing more people than Saddam managed, but I will examine your figures when you supply them and retract that statement if necessary.

what should also be part of the equation is that most of the Iraqis that have been killed have not been by coalition troops. I have no figures, but nor am I making any assumptions. Your "proof" as far as I can see is not definitive and like most statistics probalbly leaves out inconvenient factors.

Never said they were killed by coalition troops, just that we were responsible your answer leaves out inconvenient quotes.

Not really. It's true I hadn't allowed for nit-picking, but I don't see any fundamental change in my position.
Tony Blair lied to get us to go to war and as a consequence many people died who would not have otherwise.

I'm with SallyAnne on this one, I don't believe Blair lied as such. But Blair was responsible for fostering a political climate in the defense and intelligence agencies where they were heavily encouraged to come to the (wrong) conclusion that Iraq had WMD. In other words, it's still Blair's fault.

History will eventually record that ~1m Iraqis died in the civil war caused by the illegal invasion of Iraq, prompted in most part by the (incorrect) claim they had WMD. This will be Blair's shining legacy.

Don't forget the suicide of a scientist. That's on his record too. And blaming of all brown-skinned people for all the problems in the country.
