"I see you've spent some time at X, who was your line manager there?"

I love this one and always give a football manager's name, so I just had the pleasure of being managed by Steve Bruce.

Thanks, cold caller from Kate Matthews Solutions, and you have a pleasant afternoon

Or General. It could have become an anecdote thread about ways in which newbie agents have been stitched up.

Unfortunately, you have missed a trick. I like to use a foreign sounding made-up name that sounds, phonentically, like something a bit naughty!

        Like these guys did!

Although, I do sometimes really struggle to contain my laughter when the agent repeats the name back at me over the phone.

Like it. I may suggest Wayne Kerr for the next one.
