    Dirty Spekulant does it again

Actelion to be bought out by J&J. Nice 51% profit there, thank-you. If only I'd remortgaged the house and put a million in.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

Well done, now post your last 5 years of trades so we can assess whether you have 'smashed it' or got lucky once...

That's NOT dirty spekulation, but a wise investment - well done!

That link's from May last year. "I'm planning on investing on the UK stock market" Doesn't mean that I haven't been trading for years on other markets.

Although I don't look for them, so far I've benefited for mergers/takeovers four times in the past year, yielding some tidy profits. Baxalta (US), Syngenta (CH), Actelion (CH), and ARM (UK). Actelion R&D is going to be spun off as a separate company running by the Actelion founders. Might be a good company to invest in. Not sure that J&J will be such a good punt.

No. I wouldn't claim to be an expert. But possibly quite lucky.

This kind of "lucky" windfall happens to a lot of us on a fairly regular basis, but that does not mean starting a thread to feel smug about.

Given the triggers for some of the threads in General, I really don't see why not. Sheesh... I get called moody.

In terms of CUK thread quality, this is probably in the upper decile.

Well done, there's few better feelings than "free" money.
