You have to pay the license fee to access the services. So I'm not wrong. You can't legally watch Channel 4 on your TV without paying the fee. I presume you can watch channel 4 live and its catchup on your laptop without paying the fee?

They recently changed it so it covered online as well after lobbying from the BBC.
However as the fee pays for the BBC if Aunty disappeared it would be difficult to justify the license fee.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

I've heard people rant about not watching BBC on TV but they listen to BBC radio or use the BBC's websites."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Would that be the websites they are about to close and not sell as a commercial success?

You don’t need a TV Licence if you only ever use these services to watch on demand or catch up programmes except if you’re watching BBC programmes on iPlayer.
Remember, if you watch or record live TV on any device, you need to be covered by a TV Licence.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

You can listen to the radio and browse the internet without a TV license.Comment
