I normally quite like this sort of humour, but I didn't find the sketch particularly funny. Even more so when I found it was a proper BBC job - felt more like something that some college kids would put together. Could've been much better.

I thought the clip was quite funny and as one of the comments said best way of dealing with things like this is to show how ridiculous it is. Saying that if someone was making fun of something closer to home not sure how I would feel. That's what you get when you is clever enough to hold two opposing views, innit.
