but it's worth emphasising that Merkel's "invitation" was addressed only to refugees from Syria, and therefore has no bearing whatsoever on the case of a Tunisian.

      Incorrect.
In so far as anyone on this forum is interested in the facts, as opposed to their own prejudices, here they are:

Ruddy Hell AssGuru has turned into the Daily Mail using Reddit as a source for stories.

Admittedly the Wail only use it for stories like "My Anglo-Swiss boyfriend gave me a dose should I still love him? "

Sas is trying to educate the mince mates on the finer points of German politics.

Rule #1 for asylum seekers, economic migrants or terrorists - throw away your passport
            Rule #2 pretend you're Syrian

Once you're in, there is little chance of being thrown out again.

Thank goodness for the police information exchange of Schengen, which mean this nutcase terrorist was caught despite fleeing Germany.

You'll also note that after the Paris attacks, the borders were swiftly closed, and that didn't prevent the perpetrators making it to Belgium. Despite the driver trying to tip off the police at one of the checks.

There've been Turks since the 60s. The other big (and problematic) group are the North Africans (Tunisians etc). DUnno why they came to Germany but in general they predate this crisis - they've been there since the 90s although its quoite conceivable that more have entered taking advanatage of the crisis.

You're not seriously trying to suggest that he was caught because of Schengen or the EU? You're barking.

The post is factual and has good evidential links unlike the Dail Fail BS.

There is no point explaining Schengen to people with a little Islander mentality. They don't understand at various points on a continent you can just walk, cycle, ride a donkey or drive across borders as the border is too long to police.
