Point being, many arguments to be had.
IPSE, along with my unicorn and chocolate fire guard, I will leave to fight the fight in the "right way", or whatever Mal said.

Originally posted by MrMarkyMark View PostIts interesting really, like anything else there is a whole series of people generating income or employment from us, Clients themselves due to wider skill, experience levels, Accountants, Agencies(!), software companies that write software that caters for contractors, Insurances under various guises, HMRC employees, Tax office employees, Criminal / Security Clearance companies, service industries, airlines...late night bars, hookers, coke dealers...etc......
Seems quite a lot to potentially lose
This is what I want from ipse....the economic case overall, not to mention how little I will cover myself pension wise ...which will be their problem in 20yrsComment

I'm ditching my Ltd and moving to an umbrella. And saying goodbye to IPSE.
I get more useful newsletters in my inbox from my contractor mortgage broker than IPSE, who are a complete waste in this political and economic environment and not worthy of any of my money.Comment

His focus now is stopping it moving to the private sector.
Er so in two years after this has 'worked' and every ps contractor has paid taxes, who exactly is going to fight against private sector....then Gov will say there must be parity and if a it contractor in ps is an employee why is an it contractor in banking any different.
Nice one ipse....Comment

a few years ago I didn't work with a chap. I say that because although he was on the team I never met him. He was a legend. He had been off sick for six months out of every 12 for the past 4 years.
He had sat down figured out the formal procedure for getting sacked and played it. He was on full UK salary living in Turkey. He knew exactly how long he had before his cash would start to get cut and he played it to a day. Apparently it took them 2 full years to sack him. Even then he walked with a package
Ironically many contractors may find they work less for more money under the new systemComment

Same here I will look to QDOS to cover me for IR35 until then and won't be renewing my IPSE membership when it comes up for renewal (just have to make sure the shysters haven't got me on an auto renewal where they'll help themselves to my money upon renewal to make it 'easier' for me...)Comment
