Whats this 'we' bollocks? Haven't you forgotten your beloved Brexit?“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” -

Remember the last time we went to war. Tony Bliar hopped into bed with Shrub - a right wing idiot in the White House - so fast that he didn't have time to think about how imbecilically stupid an idea it was.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Unfortunately we are still in it.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostWhats this 'we' bollocks? Haven't you forgotten your beloved Brexit?
The only member states wanting an EU army are the ones who think they would control it but wouldn't necessarily.
Would you trust the likes of Juncker with an EU army?Comment

So you mean the EU Commission. What a feckin' nightmare that would be.Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostIt will be controlled by the countries that contribute to it and they'll use the EU institutions to provide the organisation to co-ordinate it.Comment

In what way ?Originally posted by GB9 View PostSo you mean the EU Commission. What a feckin' nightmare that would be.
Perhaps you can use some examples of recent UK military adventures eg such as in Irak to make your point as to what successful international military co-operation is all about.

So that was Iraq under a Labour leader. 13 years of Labour. What a disaster. But I assume you would support it as a socialist supporter of the EU that Blair got us into without the referendum he promised us. After all, he would like to be President, wouldn't he? And he was the one who stated he would do anything he could to prevent us leaving. (I have no idea if that included a call with his judge pals or not).Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostIn what way ?

As for a recent example: well France and the UK did a decent job in Libya. Although whether the aftermath justified it is another matter altogether.
So you would really let the EU Commission command the UK armed forces? Well, the EU did a good job with the Ukraine. The Russians were clearly terrified.Comment

The military engagement in Iraq was a total success. I know you and your ilk do not like to hear of such things but I would suggest that the British have a more successful military history than any other country. Today without the USA and Britain the EU would be easily overrun by Russia . Then you and your all your little "I am a european now w*nkers" will come screaming back demanding protectionOriginally posted by BlasterBates View PostIn what way ?
