No mention about the EU army in that article, could always become an alternative to NATO and as countries are not bound by NATO rules to spend 2% of their GDP on defence, they would be under EU laws. Anyway, Trump is just spouting bollocks as usual, a number of the policies that he waffled on before the election have already been removed from his website and it looks like he's already backtracking on Obamacare. Typical right winger, lies, lies and the damn liars who spout them...

Oh I forgot, and the gullible idiots who believe them...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

He is definitely getting under the skin of Drunker and co. I'm quite attracted to the idea of the UK joining NAFTA ... Suddenly the years of trade negotiations just disappear. Not keen on Trump at all, but things seem to be playing out nicely so far.

Where's that 350 million for the NHS then?

I've said we should've joined NAFTA for years. We already do well exporting to the America's and unlike our 'partners' in the EU the Americans and Canadians actually like us.

Scrap NATO. Let the EU have its toy army as its always wanted. US/UK/Canada/Aus & NZ can form a new organisation.

                From 2000...

                http://www.economist.com/node/302480

"In strictly legal terms, the Black version of the relationship between Britain and NAFTA makes more sense. It is precisely the feature of the EU that Mr Gramm most objects to—its refusal to allow member states to negotiate trade agreements on their own behalf—that appears to make it impossible for Britain to join NAFTA and stay in the EU.
The Black version of why Britain should join NAFTA also probably chimes most closely with the ideas of Tory Eurosceptics. Although the official position of William Hague's party is that the Tories should be “in Europe, but not run by Europe”, more than a few senior Tories undoubtedly believe that Britain will ultimately have to leave the EU. In their more relaxed off-the-record moments in the United States, some are happy to admit this."

Or the idiots who would walk head long into the socialist state known as the EU without really understanding what it is they were walking in to.

Why on earth would we want an EU army? Who would control it?

It will be controlled by the countries that contribute to it and they'll use the EU institutions to provide the organisation to co-ordinate it.
