True dat, personally if I had a vote I'd probably have abstained. But it looks like Clinton is going to end up with something between 1 and 2 million more votes than Trump. It's going to be hard for him to 'bind the wounds of division'.

The Jurys still very much out on Trump of course but liking the sound of this man.

Defy 'Stalinist' global warming rules, says Trump's economic adviser Stephen Moore | Daily Mail Online

"....few things about the Obama era rankle Moore worse than climate change measures and the shrinking of the American coal mining industry. ‘Obama has put tens of thousands of our coal miners out of work. These are great middle-class workers. Hillary and Obama had this ludicrous idea that the government would build 500million solar panels. What are you talking about? We’ve got the cheapest natural gas in 100 years. We should be producing every single barrel of oil we’ve got, producing as much coal as we can and producing as much natural gas as we can and become an energy superpower.’

As for the Paris Accords on climate change under which governments have agreed to cut carbon emissions, Moore is blunt: ‘That is the stupidest agreement ever. You are not going to solve climate change by government. It happens through technological change, through economic growth and new technologies, not through Stalinistic regulations.’

Like I say, a post-truth politics. The science is clear, pursuing a Trump (2016 version) policy on burning fossil fuels endangers the very ecosystem that sustains all of us. Hooray for Trump! Hooray for the Daily Mail Online!

Then you are a fool like the US people who have been taken in my him.

As long as you remember the only person Trump cares about is Trump and so far:
          1. He's not repealing Obamacare
          2. There is no special prosecution going after Hillary
          3. He's put his family in government jobs e.g. his transition team
          4. He isn't building a wall paid for by Mexico
          5. Illegal immigrants who end up in prison are all ready deported

Which of those do you have a problem with exactly, other than the nepotism, a charge that could also have been levelled at Hillary?

You are condoning a candidate simply because of the political position he projects (it is not real), apparently turning a blind eye to his venality, neanderthal misogyny, blatent dishonesty and opportunism. On the basis that 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend', what actually he says or does you admit, is irrelevant.

We're never going to agree on politics, but surely you can see that this debasement is an unhealthy development, whether you favour Marx, the tea party or something in between?

As I said, I hope Trump delivers everything you wish for, and is not impeached in favour of the more 'establishment' Pence around about 2018....
Of course I can see it is a debasement of politics. I also see your ilk's debasement in politics with your self righteous intolerance of any thing other than your liberal view of the world. The sneering sanctity of the attitudes of the Climate change lobby is at the forefront of this whole revolution.

I spoke with a Clinton supporter last week. Whilst devastated by tge result she did agree that there is an odd trend evolving in the us of families running or attempt to run the country. We've had a couple of Bushes, almost s second Clinton and now they are talking about Mrs O'barmy having a go. Turning in to China.

Yeah - the US election race just seems to be a farce and the only people really interested in getting involved in it are those who already live in the 'bubble'

Average Joe off the street does not have a chance - you would think that was a big problem but as the President of the US is merely a puppet then not the important.

It's not new though is it, that's how the US has been since it's independence. Just think back to the Kennedies in the 1960's.
