Agents - a cancerous polyp on the anus of humanity.....
Rubbish. The Rolls Royce deal was genuine - they didn't go asking for reference or posting false business deals to get more business in. You're going to be buried in an s-shaped coffin you crooked chunt. Of course, you'll be a lovely man if you fix me up with a contract in April, but given that you've got a memory span of a month, that's not a problem.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist

slide a few million quid to him in a brown envelope and I'm sure he will see what he can do.

That's the thing with the Rolls Royce deal - everyone knows business in Africa and Asia is done with "sweeteners" and "incentives". It's usually between 10 and 20 percent and call it a facilitation fee or whatever you like, but if you don't pay, you don't get to do business.

+1, always used to be the way in Asia too.
When we lived there in the 70's my father worked for a large pharmaceutical company, they had to pay sweeteners just to allow us to live / work there.
In the UK roles can be on and off quicker than a hookers underwear.
Some public sector roles can be advertised for months before they are eventually filled. There can be various reasons for that, no budget signed off, agent getting the nod early / told to try and get some candidates together, candidates all being rejected so another round starts....etc...etc.
Can be true but it's not only in UK. I'm following the market in EU.
