On the death of the father and brother Bhumibol had become king, and the king can do no wrong in the eyes of the law, so he could never stand trial for what had happened.

It would be good to know the details of his succession but it won't happen. Suffice to say that there is a genuine grief amongst the population and he did many good works during his reign for the poor.Comment
