Yes, I agree with that. And that is part of why there's no culture. In Germany, everybody is in a club. They love singing clubs for example. Or walking clubs. Whatever, they are all in a club of some sort. The culture is for club membership. In Italy they love passagiatta in the evenings- many of them do it- not just a few, i would say most of them participate. They also go to church en masse. You would find most of the community attends the church. That is part of the culture.

In the UK, what is there by comparison? There used to be pub culture but that is dying out. I'm not having a dig. But there is no culture in the sense of a collective activity enjoyed by society.

Now, you could say that a minority of individuals in the UK are "cultured", in the sense that they are well read, well traveled, well educated and they have good taste in food, wine, clothes and entertainments - but that is a different thing to the indigenous peoples of Britain having a "culture".

Of course I am better off where I am. Or else I would be in the UK doing it tough like you lot. I've already done the hard yards, it's all creme for me these days.

      Cheers, bobspud!

Never realised Burger King paid so well on the continent. You must be very proud.

Straight into my dunce trap. That's why I wrote "creme" and not "cream".

Of course. Cunning trap being as how you previously went to such pains to portray yourself so effectively as a retarded cretin that that mistake was taken as read.

            Hiya sasguru.

Yes, I specifically left them out to give you some punctuation practice.

Fronttoback.......a curious moniker. Presumably there is some correlation between that choice and your propensity for talking out of your arse?

Not everyone went to the pub and was a part of pub culture hard as it is for you to believe.

In regards to having culture I pointed out in the UK we aren't clones unlike what you make the Germans seem like. This has the advantage of when someone, whether monarch or politician, tries to be a dictator in the UK they get removed from power before they do too much harm unlike in other countries.

Pub culture dying, football culture dying, rave culture dead, youngsters buying property aspiration culture dead-too expensive, family culture dead- people can't afford more than a small family or they choose to stay child free. What culture do you have left?

The indigenous peoples of the UK are amongst the finest in the world. The diversity, ingenuity, braveness, intelligence and humour is unrivalled. But you have no culture other than getting hammered - which you are very good at.
