It seems an appropriate time to remind people of Branson's tax fraud and how he avoided prison because his wealthy mum.

If you get an open ticket the system will book a seat for you, but you may take any train. The seat would be reserved, but there's no ticketholder to sit there. Way it works on trains is they are reserved from one station to another. As you walk up the train you look to see if that is already past or current, or later after you get off the train. If so you sit on it.Originally posted by darmstadt View Post
Regularly the reserved seats don't have anyone sat in them at the point they are reserved anyway - they didn't make the train or they sat somewhere else. At which point you sit in it.
