I'm not clear on what point you're trying to make. Perhaps you can explain your thoughts?Originally posted by CretinWatcher View PostBoomed! Soon we can join Greece as a prime heritage historical tourist destination !

I'm merely celebrating the undoubted economic success caused by Brexit.Originally posted by The_Equalizer View PostI'm not clear on what point you're trying to make. Perhaps you can explain your thoughts?Comment

I wouldn't want to derail the official Brexit good news thread. There's only one of these and I'm sure there'll be an increasing volume of excellent news coming our way.Originally posted by The_Equalizer View PostPerhaps tell us what you did at the weekend, or where in Portugal you might be moving to?

An increase in tourism is welcome. It is a result of a lower value of GBP. GBP is lower because of weakness and uncertainty in the economy caused by the EU referendum result. So let's be cheered by the increase in tourism, but let's not kid ourselves that it's a sign of strength - it is the opposite.Originally posted by The_Equalizer View PostI'm not clear on what point you're trying to make. It's like being pleased you were attacked in the street, because your wounds have clotted nicely and the an ambulance has arrived.Comment

What's done is done as they say - although it's not actually been done! Early days and all to play for. Feel free to pop up to 'the North' and spend your Euros.Originally posted by Old Greg View PostAn increase in tourism is welcome. It is a result of a lower value of GBP. Yes, it is done. And it has weakened the economy and caused uncertainty. And as you say it's not actually been done yet. More weakness and uncertainty is to come. The cretins can keep on celebrating signs of economic weakness and uncertainty.Originally posted by The_Equalizer View PostWhat's done is done as they say - although it's not actually been done!
