I am genuinely dumb struck at the utter ineptitude of drivers from Russia shown on You tube, their behaviour defies the logic of basic self preservation let alone any form of driving code. I have no idea what on earth are they on or why so many hit and run!

To be fair I've seen YouTube clips of Russian pedestrians throwing themselves at car windscreens in attempt to pretend to be run over so they can sue the driver.

Least UK pedestrians and cyclists who do stupid things in front of you while you are driving aren't doing it for a payout.

I've done at least double as many miles these last 2 years than in a typical year before and my patience with middle lane hoggers is wearing thin.

They were bad enough on 3 lane motorways so no surprise they don't handle 4 lane motorways properly. I just overtake on the left @ 70 now and can't be bothered to change lanes 4 times just to suit them.

Last week a Ford and BMW had been close to one another in lane 2 of 4 doing 65ish for ages when lane 1 was empty. I eventually catch up in lane 1 and after I overtake the Ford on the left, he then slows down even further to less than 60 and stays in lane 2. The BMW then ups his speed to 70ish, but still won't go in lane 1.

Nope, this kind of football dive injury, in search of a payout, is starting to be done here

Round Antwerp is pretty chronic, but apart from that most of France, Belgium and Italy are good.

Nope, they do the same in France too. As you get round the Med towards Perpignan and the Pyrenees you see more cars with an 'E' bumper sticker that are conspicuously not pulling in again. Once you're over the border it's pretty endemic. The saving grace is that there are fewer cars about so it's not a major impediment to traffic.

Worst of all are the taxi drivers. (Almost) empty motorway, driving in third lane, overtaking what? probably the cars on hard shoulder.

How sexist!

It's old men wearing hats who do 61mph.

They also get visibly upset when a woman tries to over take them at 70mph and some actually try and block you.

Though they get so indignant with their weaving they actually let you over take them at 80mph in front of a police car and get upset cos you ain't pulled over.

Never even thought about it; "dithering doris" is a term that my mum's used for years to describe bad drivers for years, regardless of gender.
