They can also service the UK market when we can't afford to buy all those expensive EU cars due to no one having a job
Free market = free movement.
Thats not going to change.
If I was BMW or Mercs MD I would be lobbying the EU to raise tariffs to 20%. Play the long game. Destroy the competition coming from the UK at the cost of a short term blip in profits. Perhaps Mister Tata thought of that and that's why he's opened a huge Jag-Land rover factory in Slovakia.
Meanwhile the Germans could welcome the relocating Jap companies to Germany with open arms.Comment

Was eating my lunch and turned on the radio. PMQs is on and Camoron told Corbyn to go. They cut out and the political commentator repeated it.Originally posted by scooterscot View Postfeck off.. are you serious? The guy has a mandate from the public. Edit: Yes I'm shocked. Camoron said it's not good for the country to have a cr*p opposition."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

They'll shrink to just serve the UK market while the EU market is served from the EU.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostThat'll not happen. More likely no further investment by foreign companies during the years of uncertainty ahead. They'll just appear to become smaller as others grow in size.Comment

If you have never seen the cars lined up in different parts of the country you would realise the capacity of the UK to produce cars is high, and you would know shrinking manufacturing plants makes them unviable.Originally posted by m0n1k3r View PostThey'll shrink to just serve the UK market while the EU market is served from the EU.

as per the briefing document I posted.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostIf you have never seen the cars lined up in different parts of the country you would realise the capacity of the UK to produce cars is high, and you would know shrinking manufacturing plants makes them unviable.
we export ~ £13Billion to the EU & Import £26 Billion.
If the EU stuffs us on the exports we reply by stuffing them on the imports and we have a huge now over priced import market to play with.Comment
