and so negotiations begin. Hamface told them yesterday that immigration was a large issue that caused Brexit. Lets see if the other EU members have the balls to challenge Tusk. -
At the risk of adding some facts to this playground fight, the 'trigger' is the PM asking the FO to initiate it. It will happen, you decide what you want top do about it and stop boring the rest of us with the us with the 'it so unfair' line. The 'plan' is to trigger A50 and work it through with our partners, that's what treaties are for.Hmmm... so when is this Team UK going to trigger Article 50 then?
I think nobody has the spine to do this, and I think they will never do it... since there is no plan!Comment

3. Negotiate outside EU and get enough business to keep us afloat then tell the EU what we want if they want to trade with us just like Canada, India & China. Then we can invoke article 50.Originally posted by Old Greg View PostSo it's my job to sort out your mess is it? How about:
1. EEA membership. Pony up the cash. Accept free movement of individuals. Full participation in the single market. Suck it up that there's no say in decsion-making any more. Face up to the Brexit voters that they've been duped. If you're really moving you might get some fig leaf on benefits for EEA immigrants.
Or
2. The alternative is to kick Article 50 down the road indefinitely. Make it look as if it's far too difficult to get a deal. Wait until the right moment for a 2nd referendum. Get a 52-48 Remain vote. Face up to the Brexit voters that they have been duped.Comment

so no time restrictions on how soon it should be triggered then?Originally posted by NigelJK View PostAt the risk of adding some facts to this playground fight, the 'trigger' is the PM asking the FO to initiate it. If they wanted the EU could negotiate before Article 50?
We of course can negotiate with other countries so long as the deals are signed after article 50 is invoked?Comment

I thought the whole point of invoking Article 50 was to restore confidence in the markets and show that our main two parties aren't just a bunch of headless chickens. Restore AAA rating and all that.Originally posted by Nigel Farage MEP - 2016-06-24 04:00:00"I hope this victory brings down this failed project and leads us to a Europe of sovereign nation states, trading together, being friends together, cooperating together, and let's get rid of the flag, the anthem, Brussels, and all that has gone wrong."Comment
