Latest Survation phone poll has Remain 1% up after removing undecideds, at 50.5/49.5. That's 2% up for Leave on the last poll, Remain unch. Close. These phone polls have really turned around from those earlier in the campaign, so the gap does appear to have narrowed in a statistically meaningful way.

Any genuine undecideds at this late stage will almost certainly vote the way their partners will, if they vote at all, unless they're both a couple of ditherers.

So the pollsters should be asking undecideds "If you have a partner, and they have decided and told you, how will they be voting?"

And if pro-Leave person killed some pro-Exit MP, would Farage, Boris and Co do the same or not? They'd be foaming at the mouth using it for their cause.

I agree that there are all sorts of unsavoury characters around Remain (Cameron, Osbourne etc.), but the nutters (fascists, Trostskyites, communists, conspiracy nuts) seem to be flocking to Leave. Or am I missing a significant contingent of nutters on the Leave side?

The establishment is also resolutely behind maintaining professional armed and police forces, as opposed to dissolving them and introducing democratically controlled workers' patrols and militias, so I'm not sure what you think the significance of your point is.
