    Whatever.

    BREXIT baby.
As many brain cells as a tampon...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Not so much a put-down as a kick in the gently gentlies...

"Soccer" is short for "association football" and was first recorded as a term for the game in Oxford in the nineteenth century.

I shall continue to use words that were coined in England, have become part of the English language, and have been sanctified by long usage, whatever the nature or provenance of any words you may be having

In this country, it's called Football. OK, we're pretty close to very crap at it, as the next 5 weeks will no doubt reveal.

IIRC the British empire was built on trade not 'rape and pillage'. It was the first and only Nation to achieve this. The USA has failed miserably, mainly due to too much plagiarism. And before you say it things only started to turn sour when the politicians got involved.

Some might argue it was built on slavery, invading other countries and nicking everything which wasn't nailed down. Not me though...

Slavery, well may be some of the fuel but surely this was a trade going back thousands of years?
Remind me again of who we invaded?
'Nicked everything not nailed down' - some proof of that would be good or instead have a read of this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_India_Company

Yeah - but not to include the UK.

"Great Britain, the British Commonwealth of Nations, mighty America, and I trust Soviet Russia - for then indeed all would be well - must be the friends and sponsors of the new Europe and must champion its right to live and shine."
