Brexit and Contracting

The Norway style deal will only happen if the UK economy plunges so much that we're absolutely desperate. More likely is that it's work permits for all. We're meant to be a flexible resource; asking clients to go through a lot of pain and bureaucracy to get a work permit is completely at odds with that. Not impossible, but certainly less likely. Will work inside IR35. Or for food. -
I don't think so.Originally posted by fullyautomatix View PostI am sure this has been discussed before, but I cannot be arsed to search for this. So help me out here.
If we Brexit, will IT contractors be barred from entering the EU and contract? like we can do now.
Can the EU pass laws banning us from doing that?
That is the only thing that will help me make up my mind.
Will be bilateral agreements between UK and other countries.

Brexit and Contracting
I agree. My main concern is how we bargain when the chips are down. We're assuming too much and that's irrational.Originally posted by VectraMan View PostThe Norway style deal will only happen if the UK economy plunges so much that we're absolutely desperate. In the event of Brexit it's going to be work permits for sure. Buying a house and living in it will become impossible without permanent residense permit - anybody who planned to retire in cheaper part of Europe with nicer weather will be totally fooked.
What EU should have done is introduce right now visas for visits, maybe just for a week just before referendum - just to give the taster of what's to come.
P.S. Obviously only for those who'd say at the border they will vote for Brexit.
P.P.S. Here is the best part - you'll have to compete for work permits with cheaper foreigners from outside EU

No one will be allowed to leave ever. Everyone can still come here though.
I wouldn't worry about working in Europe, as we will all have starved within a month anyways.

Here is a free tip - you can get to France in a truck or under railway car, claim asylum there.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostI wouldn't worry about working in Europe, as we will all have starved within a month anyways.

We have nothing to lose! We Brexit, and if it sucks, we all run through the Chunnel and claim asylum in the loverly EU.

We will be subject to EEA rules.
