Originally posted by WTFH View PostYes, and don't forget that parents are allowed to do what they want in taking their kids out of school at term time and the schools can't do anything about. Who cares about the teachers course plans or other pupils, as long as the little kid gets their 4 holidays to Disneyland every year then it's OK, otherwise they are being victimised.
Schools should go to having August off and different LEAs having a different two weeks in the preceding 8 weeks, except for GCSEs. Do normal school exams at the end of May then finish the curriculum in the remaining 6-7 weeks in June and July. Gives a 13 week window across three months for holidays, meaning that resorts get a better spread and prices can be adjusted across the piece to reflect it. Probably too logical that though. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't existComment
