If the UK vote to stay in the EU, will Salmond shut up? If so, that's probably all the marketing the remain camp need to make.
Alternatively, if the UK vote to leave the EU, the first law as an independent country should be to explain to Salmond/Sturgeon/Trout etc that we are a democracy and if something is voted for with an agreement that it won't be voted for again in a generation, then that's what it should be.
Asked if he could pledge not to bring back another referendum if the Yes campaign does not win on Thursday – Mr Marr suggested this meant in the next 20 years – Mr Salmond replied: “That’s my view. My view is this is a once in a generation, perhaps even a once in a lifetime, opportunity for Scotland.”
It seems reasonable to me that if there is a majority in the UK to leave and a majority in Scotland to remain, there would be another Scottish independence referendum. Why not? It would be fun, anyway.
