The UK ranks fairly low for government expenditure on healthcare. Maybe that's the problem.

Also, why don't you look up Stalinism in an encyclopaedia?

I agree with OP. OK its free but ultimately its crap.

Anyone who has been at the mercy of the NHS in the last few years will know this.

Yes its great that no-one has to pay for it but its still a below-par service.

Part of the problem is theres no accountability. Ever tried complaining? pointless. And of course in this country its put on a pedestal and how dare anyone criticise the good old NHS.

While the current NHS is obviously not fit for purpose, would it be worth risking going to the yankie version which even they accept is wrong with all that 'obamacare' stuff.

You only have to see how the UK veterinary system has become corrupted by a similar insurance led approach to the yank health system to see it isn't a better solution. Try getting a pet cared for without insurance and see how cheap it no longer is. A total scam to get everyone paying the insurance.

Never mind, after the brexit vote to remain in the EU there will be more EU rules across the 'state', including health policy. What is the german system? That is what we'll end up with.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

There's no question that health policy will be dictated to us.
But we should look at systems like the French and German and copy them, as they work better than ours.
            Hard Brexit now!

It will be interesting to see how the German system copes with an extra 1million migrants per annum.

Well seeing as quite a few of those migrant people are of the professional class which includes doctors in various areas of medecine but also other healthcare professionals then quite well as they'll integrate straight in and provide the services required to those that aren't. Missed out on a cheap reliable professional work force there did the UK
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Since they will have to pay for their healthcare won't be an issue.

In fact the few corrupt GPs won't be scamming the system by registering non-EU migrants for a large fee. Or haven't you heard of that scam?
