Most of the EU exports are food and most of the EU imports are food. So we grow some cabbages and are allowed to sell them to France, and France sells us some broad beans, without tariffs.
It's a load of contrived nonsense.
We will produce our own food and sell and eat it, and export cars, machinery, drugs, intellectual property and financial services to the whole world.
EU is utter contrived, scaremongering, pointless, expensive, damaging, bollox.

If the US & Canada can get access to the EU without free movement why can't we?
There is simply NO WAY the EU will give the UK access to the single market without attaching so many conditions (Free movement of people, paying in the EU Budget) in order to make it unattractive for any EU member to also try and leave.Comment

The ultimate aim of this is to make such countries join the EU on the basis of 'If we are following all the rules may as well join the club'. Of course this thinking does not apply to Non European nations like the US and Canada where the focus is ONLY on trade.
