We send cretins like Farage who doesn't even bother turning up but still takes the gravy train money, and some people think that is clever.
This seems to be your blind side in the whole debate. That's where the EU’s headed. Inside the UK is just agreeing to this. I've repeatedly mentioned the southern European states and how they are being treated (or should I say their population), but you conveniently sidestep this. How are the problems faced by Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal going to be resolved? Or does their population just have to up sticks and get jobs elsewhere?

Seems to me that Germany is behaving to the Med countries in a very Thatcherite way.
      Wonder where they learned that?
      Hard Brexit now!

Exactly. No way out. People bleat on about post Brexit Sterling would devalue. Maybe, but at least this is at our disposal and we control our own economic policy.

Not much of a response. Give us hard facts.

Those countries overspent and have been the architects of their own downfall and now Germany is insisting on austerity.
            Eventually the medicine will work.
What do you suggest, that they keep spending like they have in the past?
And another issue is that people forget how very poor countries like Greece, Portugal and Spain were in the 60s and 70s - all second-world dictatorships.
That's why they don't leave, they know even in their present state, they are infinitely better off.

heaven knows, I wish the Tories had a proper austerity policy instead of overspending and causing us to have some of the largest deficits in the Western world. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Greece is in a debt spiral. It's never going to work out for them. Now if Greece had its own currency it...

They can have their own currency whenever they want.
                The Germans suggested it themselves.
And no one is suggesting that we join the Euro.

In other words they deserve their position and their economies should therefore be run by Germany

as recorded EU migration is over half then if we reduced that then we wold reduce immigration.

The fact international migration is broken as well doesn't mean that we do nothing.

We have about 30-40 Polish shops in Slough plus all the supermarkets have a large Polish section, the 8,249 poles in the area must eat a lot of polish food daily.
