Anyway Switzerland needs Europe to trade with.
That was not my point. The EU as an institution will be forced to reform by a Brexit

Is this forecast conditional on Britain maintaining immigration and trading with Europe?

Where is Canada? Piggy-backing on the US of course. No one would listen to them otherwise.

Anyway stop being wilfully obtuse, you're only making yourself look silly.

Most of the EU exports are food and most of the EU imports are food. So we grow some cabbages and are allowed to sell them to France, and France sells us some broad beans, without tariffs.

It's a load of contrived nonsense.

We will produce our own food and sell and eat it, and export cars, machinery, drugs, intellectual property and financial services to the whole world.

EU is utter contrived, scaremongering, pointless, expensive, damaging, bollox.

Maybe. It may go into the direction of more federalism.

Please understand there is a big difference between having a trade deal between countries and being in a single market. The EU wants to have maximum influence across Europe so they insist that for any European Nations that are not in the EU, to have access to the single market, they must accept a wide range EU items including free movement of people. The ultimate aim of this is to make such countries join the EU on the basis of 'If we are following all the rules may as well join the club'. Of course this thinking does not apply to Non European nations like the US and Canada where the focus is ONLY on trade.
There is simply NO WAY the EU will give the UK access to the single market without attaching so many conditions (Free movement of people, paying in the EU Budget) in order to make it unattractive for any EU member to also try and leave.

It may. The signs are that nationalist forces will eventually throw it out - particularly if it continues to fail economically and with migration.

You do know what's happening to those 2 economies at the moment? Probably not.
Anyway whats your point - should we take some gunboats and force them to buy the 44% of exports that would go to Europe?

so their plan is to bully us into behaving the way they want us to, but other nations they are happy to trade with on different terms. Hmm I can see why we aren't keen.
